Public comments will be read into the record at the board meeting by the secretary. Any public comment not adhering to the guidelines will not be read into the record. Further, public comments regarding the same topic will not be read, but rather a sample on a specific topic.
The Commitment of Jasper: JCSD "Student-Centered...Future-Focused!"

To remain transparent, all board members will receive computer-generated copies of all public comments submitted electronically and in-person.
Board members will listen to public comments, during a meeting, and have the ability to read all public comments submitted, prior to a board meeting. During a board meeting, the board will not respond verbally. However, the board will acknowledge receipt of all public comments properly submitted, and if there is a need to follow-up the board chair will follow-up with the superintendent.

The South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff ("ORS"), an agency of the State of South Carolina ("State"), is conducting this Broadband Internet Survey (“Survey”) for the purpose of gathering information from citizens of the State on their desire to obtain residential high-speed Broadband (“Internet”) plans from Internet Service Providers (“ISP”). The data collected through this Survey will assist ORS in determining the demand and need for and promote access to residential high-speed, fiber-based Internet in and around your community and across the State.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville High Athletic Stadium Capital Project Update (Tuesday, February 8, 2022)

Things are moving forward and with great success at our Ridgeland-Hardeeville Athletic Stadium! The following pictures reveal the awesome upgrades that are occurring, such as, Visitor Bleachers Installation, Field and Parking Lot Control Panel Installation, Bus Loop Parking Initial Base Installation, and Home Restroom Sewer Preparation! Oh, the transformation will be PHENOMENAL!

JCSD is hosting a job fair Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the RHHS CATE Center @ 250 Jaguar Trail, Ridgeland, SC 29936. SIGNING BONUSES are available for many positions!

Special thanks to local businessman Rick Patel, founder of the Patel Foundation of the Lowcountry. Through the Patel Foundation of the Lowcountry, Mr. Patel delivered 4 pallets of goods & supplies to both campuses. Items included school supplies and sanitary products to be used by teachers and also distributed to those that need.

Jasper County School District is grateful to have partners in the community, like Mr. Patel, that are finding ways to help our district remain "Student-Centered...Future-Focused."

JCSD is joining other school districts around the state and nation in exploring the idea of a modified academic calendar for the 22-23 school year.

Please know this has not been implemented, no decisions have been made, and we are only in the beginning stages of discussion. We are looking forward to hearing from all of our stakeholders, answering questions the community may have, and sharing results of the feedback we receive.

We have placed a copy of three sample modified calendars along with additional information on the attached survey.

In this survey, we are interested in hearing from you about your thoughts, feelings, and attitudes towards our proposed calendar for the 2022-2023 school year.
