Our Career and Advanced Technology Education (CATE) Center hosted officials from the Sumter County Career Center and Crestwood High School Gear Up Team to talk about CATE's experiences in expanding the number of career pathways available to young scholars. The tech teams were able to talk about curriculum and standards as well as financing. Thanks to our JCSD team members , STEM U and AiNautics Teams that helped make it a healthy Information Exchange!

Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eighth, for five additional instructional days at the start of the school year. These five early days have been identified as Learn, Evaluate, Analyze, and Prepare (LEAP) days and are mandatory for all districts. LEAP days must be used for face-to-face assessment activities and/or instruction.

SSC Services for Education, JCSD's maintenance & grounds contractor, has committed to hiring RHHS's Certified drone pilots to perform, in-district, roof inspections and provide aerial photography for the company as a paid internship.

We hope this partnership will inspire more businesses to help us connect our many career pathways with businesses so that we can graduate scholars that are ready to make a meaningful impact to the local workforce.
