The STEM Bus is "rolling in Ridgeland"

Students on the Ridgeland campus participated in STEM activities via our innovative mobile STEM lab! Our JCSD scholars participated in block coding lessons and learned the basics of coding by using algorithms to solve problems and complete tasks. Additionally, students used LEGOs and worked through the Engineering Design Process to create models of robots and animals that were designed to complete specific tasks outlined by students.

The JCSD STEM Bus will continue to roll in Ridgeland for the next two weeks.

Immunizations in Jasper County

MUSC Hollings Cancer Center’s Community Health Van will be in Jasper County on September 20-21 to offer HPV, Tdap and meningitis vaccinations to middle and high school students (with parental consent).

Walk-ins are also allowed with parental consent.

Privately insured students must present insurance card.

The STEM Bus is "rolling out"

The students of HJSH experienced a full day of STEM activities on our new innovative mobile STEM lab! Students participated in STEM activities through rotation stations consisting of drones and virtual reality field experiences. Our students visited the Great Wall of China, experienced live shark sightings, and viewed the Tanzania Grasslands and Rainforests. Students learned and identified the various parts of the drone, how drones fly, and experienced drone flight firsthand! Our RSAE, RES, and CATE scholars will have the opportunity to experience our innovative mobile STEM lab in action beginning Monday, September 19th.
