All About Pamela Sims
Pamela Sims, is the Director of Academic Interventions & Diversity at Jasper County School District in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She is a resourceful and dedicated school and district leader with a demonstrated track record of improving student outcomes. She joined the district in July of 2020 with 25 years of experience as an educator with extensive knowledge of curriculum, and the utilization of evidence based instructional strategies. In her current role, she has been guiding her district in supporting and improving the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports, while developing and driving the strategies to cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture.
Pamela holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Benedict College and a master's degree in Early Childhood education from the University of South Carolina. After several years of teaching and leading, she pursued and obtained an Educational Leadership degree from Winthrop University.
She has been married to her incredible husband Laverne Sims, for 17 years. She enjoys traveling, watching and attending sporting events, shopping, and spending time with her family. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and is dedicated to leading and serving.
