Greetings Jasper Families,

Due to ongoing community outages, Jasper County School District will be conducting eLearning and remote work tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, 2024. District facilities will be closed. Our district plans to return to full operations on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, following its normal schedule.

Greetings Jasper County,

Due to the potential for hazardous weather conditions releated to Hurricane Milton, Jasper County School will be conducting eLearning and remote work tomorrow, Thursday, October 10, 2024. District facilities will be closed.

The district will be serving bagged lunches at the Ridgeland and Hardeeville campuses tomorrow, October 1, 2024, on the bus loops from 10 AM - 12 PM. Please come and get lunches for our students during this time.

Jasper County School District will be closed tomorrow due to widespread power outages in the Jasper community. Further updates on additional closures will be provided tomorrow, Monday, September 30, 2024.

Due to the changing conditions of the storm and projected increased winds, JCSD will have an eLearning and remote workday on Friday, September 27, 2024. All district buildings will be closed.
E-learning is taking place in order to avoid having to implement a make-up day.
Your child’s teacher and/or school will provide additional information about eLearning. As stated yesterday, all afterschool activities today are cancelled. Extracurricular activities on Friday evening will remain as scheduled as the storm is forecasted to pass by this time. If conditions change, a communication will be sent in a timely manner. Tomorrow’s projected high winds prohibit the safe travel of school buses.

The varsity football game scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024, has been canceled due to the weather conditions associated with Hurricane Helene. We will announce a future date for this game very soon.

JCSD is closely monitoring the weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Helene in coordination with Jasper County Emergency Management. According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm Helene is expected to intensify rapidly.

As a result, all afterschool activities scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Jasper County School District are canceled. However, there will be a regular school day tomorrow, September 26, 2024.

Please be advised that Jasper County School District is actively monitoring the progression of Tropical Storm Helene.

Currently, there are no changes to our school operations. The safety of our students and staff is paramount and of the utmost importance. Please stay tuned for further information and communication regarding any potential impacts to our school schedule.
