JCSD will be selling surplus items on GovDeals.com beginning July 14, 2021. Items available for sale will include technology equipment, vehicles, and furniture.

We are requesting all students that require bus transportation for the 2021-2022 school year, please fill out the 'Student Transportation Request Form.' The request form must be filled out for each student riding the school bus. Residents requesting transportation for their children attending school must submit a request on or before July 26th, 2021 in order to be eligible for transportation during the 2021-2022 school year.

The Jasper County School District is excited to announce the groundbreaking for a comprehensive campus renovation to the Jasper County Alternative Program (JCAP) school site.

The Athletic Stadium renovations will include a new track, synthetic turf field, upgraded sound system, and new state-of-the-art lighting. A full site renovation will provide new staff and visitor parking, dedicated bus loops, and a fenced bus lot for District use.

The Book Blitz was a HUGE success! We cannot thank The United Way of the Lowcountry enough for the book donation. It was a blessing to our students and staff. They were so surprised and excited to be able to go shopping for their books. Most students thought they would only be able to pick out 1 book and their faces lit up when we told them they could pick out 10! It was so endearing and precious.

We are very grateful to United Way for giving our students this gift.

Dr. Anderson dives into how early education programs can support community needs and how their integration can be supported by the community. When it works, it’s a mutually beneficial system that can achieve both a school’s mission and a community’s needs.

As shared by our superintendent, Dr. Rechel M. Anderson, we will provide updates of our JCAP capital improvement project (Parking Lot/Athletic Field) that is underway.

The following update is from Week 1 (June 28-July 2, 2021) - The Initial Stage: Prepping the Site.

Further, we have successfully RELOCATED all occupants of our JCAP Facility. This relocation work began Monday, June 28th, to our Ridgeland Campus, and was completed Friday, July 2nd. This is a temporary move. Occupants will be relocated back to the JCAP Campus upon completion of the project.

A special THANK YOU to our Maintenance Team who provided the manpower, with a SMILE, to relocate ALL occupants (Transportation, Adult Ed, Alternative School, Chartwells, SSC, First Steps, Hunger Free Zone). You ROCK and JCSD loves you!

As part of the celebration for the last day of summer camps, The United Way of the Lowcountry donated 1500 books to JCSD Students. Students will be able to select books to add to their own home library. Student-Centered, Future-Focused means helping instill the love of reading into all of our scholars!

JASPER COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD BUDGET MEETING LIVE-STREAMING

The Jasper County School District Board of Trustees will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 28, 2021.

The board meeting will be virtually conducted via Live link. Therefore, the Board of Trustees will not meet at a physical location during this time to ensure the safety of all.
