Board Report: Winter iReady Data Review (January 2025) Board Report: Winter iReady Data Review (January 2025) Show Transcript hello Jasper County School District stakeholders I am Dr beatrich masic the director of accountability assessment and professional development today I'm going to present the winter I ready data present ation for the district and each of our schools this is the data presentation for the district where we're looking at the I ready reading scores in this chart you will see that there are 5 levels of achievement for which our students have demonstrated their Mastery the green with the stripes represent students that are at the mid or above grade level performance students that are in the green are early on grade level the yellow represents 1 being 1 grade level be below and the red uh represents being 2 grade levels below a red with stripes represents being 3 degrade levels below for reading you will see that our students are at 9% of being at Mid or above 10 for being early on and we have 29% of our students performing 1 grade level behind um our students that are 2 grade level behind represent 19% of our student population and students that are 3 or more grade levels behind represents 33% of our student population for math you will see the information displayed in the same manner with a slight difference with 5% performing mid or above grade level 10% performing early on grade level 40% being 1 grade level behind and you have um 18% that is performing at 2 grade levels behind with an additional 27% um performing 3 or more grade levels behind for Hardeeville Elementary School you will see the data displayed with a comparison of our current winter scores at the top and our previous fall administration at the bottom you will notice that there is an increase in the number of students who are performing at Mid or above grade level as well as those performing at 1 um early all in grade level the shifts in this information compared from fall to winter shows that there was a decrease in the number of students that are performing at 3 grade levels below there was a slight increase for those performing 2 grade levels below and then there was a slight decrease from 37% to 34% being um performing at 1 grade level below by grade level you can also review the information for third for more than fifth grade at Hardeeville Elementary School looking at both the charts and the percentages to tell to show the difference in our fall Administration and our winter Administration for math the information displayed we don't see a lot of change in the number of students performing at Mid or Bud above grade level that's still at 2% however we do you'll see an increase of 9% of students who are performing at early on grade level this allows us to look at the shift in the other categories where there was a significant decrease in the number of students who were performing at the 3 grade levels or more below from 24% to 16% in the winter you also have um significant shifts in the students performing 2 grade levels below from 32% to 25 which is increasing our students who are performing on the um 1 grade level below from 42 to 45 percent by grade level again grades 3 4 and 5 you also see this information displayed um for each level as well as the percentages to show the shifts in student growth from the fall to the winter Administration for Richland Elementary for reading we see that there's a significant difference we move from 4% to 10% of students performing mid or above grade level with also an increase from 7 to 13% of students performing on early grade early on grade level um we have a significant decrease from 23% to 19% of students who were in The 3 or more grade levels below category and we also have a shift from 24% to 17% of students who are performing at 2 grade levels below the number of students performing 1 grade level below decreased as they shifted into the early on or mid or above grade level categories this information displayed by grade level also shows third fourth and fifth grade with the numbers from the fall to the winter Administration for math we also see an increase from 1% to 5% of students performing at did or above grade level with the number of students performing at early on um doubling to from from 5% to 11% which leads to the decrease in the number of students performing 3 or more grade levels below from 19 to 12% and also students performing 2 grade levels below from 27% to 18% the number of students or percentage of students performing at that 1 grade level below increased um as they shifted from the 2 previous again this information presented by grade level third fourth and fifth to show the comparison and of those performance levels for Hardeeville Junior Senior High Grade 6 through 8 we see that the number of students performing at Mid or above level doubles as well from 7 to 15% also showing a slight increase in the number of students performing at early on grade level compared to the fall Administration the number of students performing 3 or more grade levels behind decreased by 10% from 57 to 47 during the winter as well as maintain the number of students being um performing in 1 grade level below or 2 grade levels below at 14 and 10 percent being displayed here is the 67th and eighth grade breakdown from the fall in comparison to the winter to show the differences in the student performance levels for math we see a significant increase in our um the percentage of students who are performing mid or above grade level from 3% increase to 10% as well as a 3% increase in the number of students performing early on grade level the number of students who are performing at the 3 or more grade levels below decrease from 49% to 42% with also students who are performing in 2 grade levels below it decrease from 16 sent to 11% the number of students who were in The 1 grade level or below category it increased by 2% for math this information displayed by grade level grade 67 and 8 showing the comparison for each of the student performance levels for original and secondary Academy of Excellence grade 6 through 8 we see that that the number of students performing at the mid or above grade level category doubled from 6% to 12% and maintained at 6% for students performing at early on grade level there was a decrease in the number of students or percentage of students performing 3 or more grade levels behind that decreased from 63% to 57% the number of students performing at the 2 grade levels below increased by 13 by increasing is 213% up from 10% in the fall and we have students that were in the 1 grade level low category that decreased from 16% to 12% as they moved into the higher categories displayed by grade level 67 and 8 the comparison of the fall to the winter and the changes in the student performance levels for math we see a significant increase in the number of students performing at the mid and above grade level from 1% in the fall to 10% in the winter the students performing at early on grade level maintained at 11% for both administrations and we also have a decrease of 7% in the number of students performing 3 or more grade levels below from 57% to 50% the percentage of students who were performing at the 2 grade levels below category decrease from 13% to 9% and the number of students performing 1 grade level below um statistically Maine obtained from 18% to 19% this information presented by grade level showing the difference in the fall to the winter
