Welcome Back!
Dear Jasper County families,
We are excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school on Monday, August 19, 2024. We are committed to preparing every student for a successful future. Regular attendance is crucial to your child's success, so we will continue to monitor and address attendance issues. Punctuality is also important, and we will emphasize the significance of being on time every day.
Our district's focus remains on being "Student-Centered...Future-Focused!" When we prioritize our students and their future success, we can overcome any challenges ahead. We are thrilled to welcome new families and welcome back returning ones. Our district is fortunate to have dedicated administrators, teachers, and staff who are passionate about education.
We encourage every student, staff member, teacher, administrator, and parent to collaborate in unlocking each student's potential. Together, we can achieve great success for every student. We understand the importance of your child's education, and we appreciate your partnership with Jasper County School District (JCSD).

Off-site, in-person late registration
The first day of school is crucial, so we will ensure that it is not disrupted by scheduling, late registration, incomplete registration, or any other issues. We will be conducting in-person late registration at an off-site location, and no registration processing will occur at the school's main office. A parent or guardian must accompany each child for registration; students cannot be dropped off. If your child does not have a complete schedule by Friday, August 16, 2024, please report to the following location:

First Day of School Reminders
- The first day of school for students is Monday, August 19, 2024.
- Safety is paramount and is of the utmost importance for staff and students. Every staff member, student, and visitor will enter through a medal detector and is subject to be searched while on the premises of JCSD.
- Prepare for traffic congestion. The first day of school is very exciting. Therefore, many parents will decide to drive their children to school. Please follow the traffic pattern, be patient, and watch out for children who are walkers.
- Go to Bed Early. Ensure that your child prepares for school the night before. It is very important that your child gets enough sleep so that he or she is attentive in school.
- Encourage your Child. Children thrive when they are encouraged and feel confident regarding who they are. Remain positive!
- Remain Patient. It will take time for everyone to learn the processes and/or get acclimated to establishing a routine. Therefore, expect longer wait times in the car line and possible late bus arrivals.
