Welcome Back! Convocation 2024-2025 & Professional Development

A lively celebration marked the start of the 2024-2025 school year for faculty and staff at Jasper County School District. This day marked the first day on the job for Acting Superintendent, Dr. Sam Whack, Jr., who welcomed both returning and new members of the district. Dr. Kiana N. Pendleton, principal of Laurel Magnet School of the Arts, a National Blue Ribbon School in Laurel, MS, delivered an inspiring keynote address. The teammates from RSAE won the coveted spirit award. Following the kick-off pep rally, district leaders conducted a series of professional development seminars to ensure that the district can operate cohesively as we serve the children of Jasper County. The workshops will take place through the end of the week. We are eagerly looking forward to opening our doors to students on August 19, 2024.
