Covid-19 Vaccination Update
The wait is almost over Jasper County School District (JCSD) Family!
JCSD Staff will soon be provided the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine. This will further allow JCSD to prepare a safe environment for our staff to engage with students.
Governor Henry McMaster and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 3/2/2021 that South Carolina would advance to Phase 1b of the state’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, with appointment scheduling beginning Monday, March 8.
Jasper County School District has partnered with Tenet Health, via Coastal Carolina Hospital, to begin rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine for JCSD staff. Those individuals who opted to receive the Covid- 19 vaccination, based on their selection on the vaccination survey, have been placed on the list and submitted to Tenet Health.
The JCSD plan includes the following:
*Vaccinations will occur on Fridays at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville SC to prevent worker
shortages,
*Coastal Carolina will designate two Fridays for JCSD staff vaccination,
*Staff will receive the Pfizer vaccination. This vaccination is a series of two shots delivered 21 days
apart. Appointments for the 2nd dose will be scheduled at the time of first dose
For individuals who did not opt to receive the vaccination when completing the vaccination survey, will have the opportunity, on a later date, to be vaccinated.
