Our Jasper County CATE Center Pathways conducted a case study on the considerations and preparations necessary for handling a "Lights Out" scenario. Our scholars performed admirably, demonstrating their preparations for survival. They discussed the coordination and mobilization of federal, state, and local government agencies, and even explored the preservation of data and network resources.

Shout out to the Art-2 students at Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence for exemplary performance in Visual Arts. Special mention to Madeleine Gonzalez Ramirez and Emelin Fernandez Gonzalez. Madeleine has participated in several art exhibitions, including the Congressional Art Show 2024 and the Art Show at Claflin University Museum 2024. She has demonstrated skills in various genres of art: painting, paper crafts, weaving, and graphic arts. The Art 2 students work collaboratively to complete artistic projects and are always willing to face aesthetic challenges. We proudly salute their efforts. Also attached are works art from the class.

Congratulations! Please join us in congratulating these scholars for passing an important milestone in their educational journey. These scholars scored "C" or better on Algebra 1, Biology, and/or Enlish 2 EOCEP Ecam in the 2023 - 24 School Year.

The recent student career fair held during National Career Development Week was a remarkable success, leaving both students and visiting business partners highly impressed. During the fair, middle and high school students were exposed to a wide range of business and industries representing a broad spectrum of career options. The fair also provided an opportunity for students enrolled in courses offered through our career and technical education center to showcase their programs, sparking interest in our in-house career pathways.
