Inspiring the joy of Reading!
Books for K – Kindergarten Book Giveaway -
Reading is one of the most powerful tools in early childhood education. Books help
build vocabulary, spark imagination, and teach important social-emotional and
academic skills. The most successful books for home or classroom are those that
engage young learners, encourage participation, and deliver meaningful lessons in a fun, age-appropriate way.
On Friday August 29th over 1,000 books were delivered to Hardeeville Elementary
and Ridgeland Elementary School from Book Harvest (Books for K). Each Kindergarten received 10 books of their choosing, and a backpack. These were books that can help spark a lifelong love of reading!
Students will use the books in their classrooms during independent reading time or one-on-one with their teachers. At the end of the 1st Quarter, students will be
allowed to take the books home to begin their home libraries.
