42 outstanding students will walk across the college stage at Technical College of the Lowcountry before receiving their high school diplomas—an incredible achievement that reflects dedication, discipline, and excellence.

While balancing academics, athletics, jobs, and family responsibilities, these scholars have gone above and beyond:

77% have earned multiple credentials
Achievements include CTE certifications, academic certificates, and associate degrees

The wait is over! After thoughtful review and collaboration, the Art Contest Committee has completed its work and selected the artwork that will adorn the cover of our first‑ever District Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Calendar.

It is with great pride that we announce our district winner: Jaquan Perry, a Junior at Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence. Jaquan’s artwork stood out among many wonderful submissions and embodied the spirit of family engagement, school pride, and community connection. We are incredibly proud of Jaquan—not only for his artistic talent, but also for his dedication, focus, and commitment to academic success.

What an incredible day last Thursday, April 23rd at the Ridgeland-Claude Dean Airport Open House!

Our students showed up and represented Jasper County School District with excellence. From start to finish, they were engaged, professional, and enthusiastic ambassadors of our district.

A special thank you to Dr. Stephanie Hart, Director of the CATE Center, and Mr. John Bolsch, Aerospace/Drone Technology Instructor, for their leadership in organizing and preparing our scholars for this experience. Their commitment continues to create meaningful, real world opportunities for our students.

We are especially proud of our two state champion drone pilots, who wowed visitors with live drone demonstrations throughout the day, showcasing not only their talent, but their passion for sharing their skills with others.

This event highlighted the power of partnership, and we extend our sincere thanks to our district leaders, teachers, and the Ridgeland Claude Dean Airport team for their ongoing investment in our students. We are excited to continue this collaboration, including upcoming summer camp opportunities for our aeronautics students.
